The Central Coast’s Russel Malony couldn’t quite make it two in a row, with the defending champ forced to settle for second, behind Forster’s Joe Haddon, at this year’s Australian Indigenous Surfing Titles at Bells Beach.
It’s familiar territory for the pair – who battled it out in last year’s final.
Haddon’s win sees him secure a wildcard into the Australian Open titles later this year at Port Macquarie.
