PORT MACQUARIE CELEBRATES NATIONAL SORRY DAY

About 100 people celebrated National Sorry Day in Port Macquarie today, by taking part in a Reconciliation Walk through the town centre.

It marks the 15th anniversary of the first Sorry Day, acknowledging the suffering endured by the Stolen Generation.

“It’s about uniting a nation and I’m very pleased to be involved with it and have my community support me on a lot of things that I do within the community, so really good.”

The group walked from the skate park and along the break-wall to the Glasshouse Regional Gallery, where two art exhibitions were launched.
