Police believe they’ve cracked a crime syndicate, arresting a Mermaid Beach man for allegedly importing chemicals to make drugs.
61-year-old John Ivanoff is accused of importing 21 kilograms of chemicals from China into Brisbane Airport.
Customs notified the Major and Organised Crime Squad who then watched the man and arrested him as he picked up the parcel.
Ivanoff faced court today and didn’t apply for bail
