FIVE INJURED IN NORAH HEAD CRASH

Five people have been injured in a serious car crash on Wilfred Barrett Drive at Norah Head.

Two rescue helicopters were called to the scene where one patient remained trapped in a vehicle for almost an hour.

Another patient has been flown to Newcastle’s John Hunter hospital by the Westpac Rescue helicopter.

The road remains closed.

  1. Police have said the road will be closed indefinatly in both directions, all drivers are being told to go around the back way through Tuggerah. Wyong road at tuggerah is in gridlock, expect long delays.

  2. I was in Norah Head and saw and heard 4 separate rescue choppers. A neighbour said there might have been two separate accidents. One near Magenta and the other near Norah Cemetary intersection.

  3. I was there when the accident at the cemetery happened. From what I could see wouldn’t of needed a chopper.
