[nggallery id=50]

The disappearance of a Central Coast woman eight months ago is now being treated as a homicide investigation.

23-year-old Leisl Smith was last seen in August last year, leaving her Wallarah home.

Her car was found abandoned at Tuggerah Lakes train station in September last year.

Police say they no longer believe Ms Smith is alive, and have spoken to a 42-year-old man about her disappearance.

Two properties in Wallarah and Brookfield and several other properties at Merriwa have also been searched.
