PAULINE HANSON CONSIDERS RUNNING FOR SEAT OF HUNTER

Pauline Hanson is weighing up whether she will run for the seat of Hunter in this year’s federal election.

The former One Nation leader this morning told Fairfax Media that she is considering running as an independent candidate in September’s election.

But Ms Hanson says she is still deciding if she will run in NSW or Queensland and won’t make a choice for at least another month.

Ms Hanson says she has ties with the area and lived in Port Stephens, before recently returning to Queensland.

Labor MP Joel Fitzgibbon currently holds the seat with a 12 per cent margin and said “anyone and everyone is entitled to contest Hunter, even people from Queensland.”

  4. Dear “Infidel Brotherhood”, if you are going to make such passionate claims – erroneous as they are – have the courage and integrity to use your real name instead of hiding behind preposterous avatars or profile handles. Your ignorance of the real issues goes to the heart as to why we really do need to embrace the Gonski educational reforms, shift the funding from the teritary (that’s universities) and plough it into the school sector. Unfortunately, you won’t be the beneficiary of such public largess, but perhaps your off-spring (if there are any, but possibly not) will be. As for Ms Hanson, like any citizen, she can give it a go.

  5. Greg, did you notice the poll run yesterday on one of the major news paper pages asking if you would like to see Pauline back in politics? Funny that, because it was neck and neck against yes and no…. it seems there are a lot of Australians out there that like her and have the same beliefs. I suggest you look a little deeper into your crystal ball, you may be surprised to see what you find.
