WEATHER UPDATE: A WET WEEK FOR THE COAST

Heavy rain swept across Gosford and Newcastle today before continuing north to Forster and Taree. Cold air has swept in with the change triggering water spouts just off the coast near Nobbys Head.

The cold air, showers and rain periods will spread north along the coast and settle in for the rest of the week.

Isolated showers will spill over the Tablelands with the some activity occasionally reaching the plains.

This trend is likely to affect the weekend.
