WESTS CHASING 193 IN NEWCASTLE CRICKET GRAND FINAL

Merewether has made a solid start against Wests in the Newcastle Cricket grand final, all out for 192 on day one.
The Lions were 2 for 70 at lunch, with captain Simon Moore in ominous form, anchoring the innings.
Sam Gilmour only managed two before he was trapped leg before by Wests’ Bradley Aldous (all-dis).
Undaunted, Moore continued to add vital runs, this six a highlight in his knock of 53.
Former Australia A quick Mark Cameron joined his skipper to contribute a valuable 51.
At stumps, Wests were one for 23.
