Police have uncovered what they’re calling a new lead into the murder investigation of Penny Hill at Coolah more than 20 years ago.
They say a car believed to have been in the town on the night when Penny was assaulted may have been a Datsun Stanza – not a Commodore, as previously thought.
Investigators today examined a dark blue Datsun Stanza similar to the vehicle described, and are expected to continue their search over the coming weeks.
Penny was just 20 years old when she was found unconscious in a paddock in 1991 with severe head and facial injuries.
She never regained consciousness, and died two weeks later.
