Newcastle Hunter has won its sixth consecutive Caldwell cup after defeating Illawarra in a tight contest 28 points to 18.
Illawarra took the lead early in the piece with two penalties…and held onto it all the way to half-time….
But there was no stopping the defending champions in the second half, scoring two tries in the final 20 minutes to seal the win.
