RALLY AGAINST FOURTH COAL TERMINAL

Opposition over Newcastle’s proposed fourth coal terminal cranked up a notch today, as one thousand people rallied through Newcastle’s inner-city streets.

Proponents – Port Waratah Coal Services says the expansion will meet the region’s long-term needs, but protesters say they’re being selfish.

  1. Corruption Collusion Community Exclusion- look at the mess this state is in- The Gov & this Industry are absolutely delusional to believe they have won the community over or any social licence. These fossil industries the politicians and the scaredy cat watch dogs, show no duty of care towatds protecting the health & environment of the people of the Hunter & surrounding region. Let alone care & protection of the other biodiversity dependent on this area- Be it land, air, food & water – weve had enough of your filthy dirty carcinogenic stuff!

  2. There were about 350 marching through the streets, please don’t say 1000 just because the herald did, they are a green gazette, NBN have far more respect in the community than that rag so please report the truth
