A woman led police on a dramatic chase through Surfers Paradise this morning, after allegedly stealing a limousine.
Police say the 32-year-old jumped behind the wheel, when the driver got out to collect a passenger.
“The adrenalin pumped in, I went running after it but I’m not going to catch it then i just went into shock mode and I was shaking. It’s like grant theft auto basically this stuff doesnt happen in Australia really.”
The limo was tracked by GPS at Runaway Bay and Helensvale, driving dangerously down the M-1.
It’s alleged the woman reversed over an officer on his motorbike when he tried to pull her over – he was taken to hospital.
The chase ended at Pimpama, where the woman was arrested.
