FLOODING CONTINUES ON THE MID NORTH COAST

Parts of the mid north coast continue to experience flooding, despite the rain easing.

Taree and Wingham experienced moderate flooding, with low lying properties inundated as the Manning River broke its banks over the weekend.

While at Wauchope, the Hastings River peaked at 4.8 metres at 10am this morning, causing a number of bridges to be closed.

Rocks Ferry Reserve, which was inspected by Acting Governor General Marie Bashir last week, is currently underwater.

While in Port Macquarie, the Settlement Point and Hibbard ferries are unable to operate due to high water levels.

The SES is transporting residents to and from the North Shore in flood boats.
