Gold Coast City Council has allocated $800,000 to help replenish its severely eroded beaches, but not much can be done until the weather clears.
Scarping is also a major concern on the Tweed Coast, particularly at Kingscliff, where mitigation works at one section of beach, are causing grief for another.
