GRAFTON JOCKEY HURT IN RACE FALL

Local jockey Allan Chau is recovering in hospital after a bad fall at Grafton racetrack yesterday.

The jockey landed heavily and was knocked unconscious when his mount Simple Love stumbled and fell on the home turn during race four.

It’s the second time in two years Chau has broken a vertebrae in his neck and is expected to be out of the saddle for some time.

The horse suffered only minor injuries.
