If you like getting your blood pumping, but aren’t quite ready to tackle a marathon, then a 37 kilometre beach stroll could be the next best thing.
Registrations are open for this year’s Ballina to Byron Charity walk which raises money for the region’s rescue helicopter.
“We raised about $40 000 last year, this year we are aiming at between $80-100 000, the money’s fantastic for us as a service but as important is us being able to provide a worthwhile community event.”
The walk gets underway on the 19th of May.
