A 45-year-old man will face court today charged with allegedly assaulting and taking photos of a young girl.
Police allege the 12-year-old girl, who knew the man but was not related, was indecently assaulted while visiting his house.
Officers searched the man’s house last night, seizing computer equipment and clothing.
The 45-year-old man has been charged with two counts of indecent assault, using a child under 14 to produce child abuse material, grooming a child for an unlawful sexual activity and producing child abuse material.
H was refused bail and he will face Maitland Local Court today.
