As communities across New South Wales begin the mammoth task of rebuilding following the recent bushfires, the Men’s Shed movement is doing what it can to help.
Centres across the Hunter are holding a ‘tool muster’, and are appealing for donations of equipment which will be sent west to help with the recovery effort.
“They’ll be transported out on Friday out to Coonabarrabran for them to be able to be presented to them on the Australia Day the Saturday.” said Glen O’Brien from the Maitland Men’s Shed.
Items being sought include small power tools as well as items for gardening and fencing.
