Competition for spots is heating up at the Gold Coast Suns, ahead of the club’s February 23 NAB Cup showdown against both the Lions and Hawks at Metricon Stadium.
The coach says, consistency is the main focus.
“Form and fitness you pick yourself that’s been our message to the players you train yourself into those positions then the coaches have to make the call but ultimately I think the players make the call who will be in the 30 or 32 players.”
McKenna says, new recruits, Tom Murphy and Greg Broughton are likely to start in the opening pre-season game.
