WEATHER UPDATE: COOL, WET COAST

What a difference a southerly makes.

It blew in yesterday dropping temperatures while producing lots of wet weather along the coast and ranges particularly in the north today with storms and heavy falls recorded around Lismore.

The onshore winds have settled in for the rest of the week. This will help to keep temperatures down while triggering more wet weather. There’s a deepening trough sitting just off the coast and this ensure the showers and storms continue east of the Divide with some moderate to heavy falls possible, especially for the MNC during Tuesday. That wet weather will ease and contract north from Wednesday.
There’s a low set to develop over the Coral Sea off the QLD coast during the week this will produce some nice swell for surfers.
