RESERVISTS SURVIVE 40-40 BEACH STOMP CHALLENGE

Trekking 40 kilometres through the surf sounds hard enough but two army reservists took the challenge to a whole new level – with 40 kilograms of weights on their back.

Sam Weir and Ben Harris undertook the 40-40 beach stomp challenge, as a unique Movember event to raise awareness and funds for men’s health.

The trip from Miami to the Spit – then to Surfers – taking an exhausting nine hours and 47 minutes.

“pretty wrecked, missing both my heels and a bit of my back as well”
(5secs, back as well)

The pair won’t get much recovery time – it’s back to army training on Tuesday.
