Armed men have targeted another club in the Newcastle area, this time two cleaners were threatened outside the Edgeworth Bowling Club.
The women were standing in the club’s carpark at around 11pm when they were approached by two men armed with a knife and steel pole.
The bandits demanded to be let into the club, but were told by the women they had no keys.
They then ran from the scene.
Police say they think the incident could be linked to the armed robbery of a bowling club at Boolaroo earlier this week.
