WEATHER UPDATE: LONG AWAITED RAIN ON THE WAY

The rain event set to unfold across the next week is a classic example of this connection between the oceans and atmosphere.

Sea surface temperatures have warmed in the Timor Sea and a direct feed is going to form thanks all the right ingredients coming together.

This will be the first significant rain event of the Spring with widespread falls across central Australia spreading east falling locally on Thursday and Friday before contracting north to SE QLD by Saturday.
