STATE TITLE FOR SYDNEY LAWN BOWLER

Cabramatta lawn bowler Claire Duke has capped off a successful run at the Women’s State Championships at Tuncurry, after winning the singles division this afternoon.

Duke, who’s team also claimed the Open Fours earlier this week, dominated the final against Goulburn’s Judith Cooke.

It was a tough feat to make the final, with the Sydney-sider challenged by Australian representative, Natasha Van Eldik, in this morning’s semi-finals.

The singles wrapped up the eight-day tournament, which saw more than 120 ladies take to the greens.
