STOCKTON RESIDENTS ABLE TO MONITOR AIR QUALITY ONLINE

Stockton residents will now be able to monitor air quality in their suburb by logging onto a website.

Orica has installed a new monitoring station in Fullerton Street at Stockton which is designed to check the air for dust, nitrogen oxides and ammonia.

Orica Manufacturing Executive Sean Winstone says the system will release hour-by hour air quality data.

“The data will effectively be available in real time, with just a short delay between sampling the air and publishing the results.”

The monitoring station will be officially launched on Saturday October 13.
