Member for the Northern Tablelands and National party candidate for the New England, Richard Torbay, was just another face in the crowd at today’s proceedings….
Mr Torbay, who is also the University of New England Chancellor says he was ‘bumped’ from official proceedings by the Minister’s office….
“What you’ve seen today is just a hissy fit from a political candidate who wants his, to get his name in the paper……The national party candidate should just recognise that some things are bigger than him.”
The Minister said it’s up to Mr Torbay to decide if he’s putting the university in a difficult position.
