COUNCIL WARNS AGAINST ADVERTISING CAR SALES ON PUBLIC ROADS
Byron Council is advising locals against advertising their cars for sale, by parking them on public roads.
An increasing number of complaints from local business owners and residents has sparked a council crackdown on the issue.
Sellers are being warned they could face fines of up to $330 if caught, and are urged to advertise in the newspaper or online instead.
The areas which have received the most complaints include Shirley street in Byron Bay’s CBD and Bangalow Road.
