FIGHT OVER THEATRE EXPANSION

A group of unhappy residents claim their seaside village is at risk of being overshadowed, by the redevelopment of Avoca Beach Picture Theatre.

But the theatre’s owners say they’re just trying to bring life and culture to the town.

  1. What happened to the 1 extra screen Mr Hunter ? Please no megaplex ! We have enough crowds with the ramping up of the markets . GCC – how can you approve this ? Shame shame . Futhur proof that noone really cares about Avoca but the locals after dumping a ship on us . Tourists back off !!!

  2. The major concern is parking. Don’t believe that parking has been provided for 600+ patrons and if this goes ahead and the Community is up in arms… then that gives the go-ahead for a multiple level parking station. What next? NO THANK YOU!! This proposal is absolutely inappropriate, not only for this particular part of Avoca Beach but for the town in general. Please scale it down to an acceptable proposal for the Community’s sake – and probably for the success of the future of the Theatre.
