GAVIN MORRIS WEEKEND WEATHER: CLEAR DAYS AHEAD

It will be a quiet weekend for umbrella salesmen, with clear sky ahead for both Saturday and Sunday.

Gavin Morris says the southerly change has moved through Northern NSW and South-East Queensland. It brought little if any rain for South-East Queensland which is experiencing a long dry spell. In fact, the Gold Coast is having its driest period in 25 years.

It’ll be a cold night on the Tablelands and some could wake to a frost in some parts.

The wind will be predominantly from the south-east while the swell is building care of a low pressure system in the Tasman.
