Work will begin in October to resurface the roadway at a busy roundabout in Taree’s CBD.
The intersection at Pulteney and Albert Streets will be closed for up to eight weeks.
Some business owners have expressed concerns about the closures, but council says it will re-assess the project mid-November and if necessary it’ll put in place measures to open the roads during the Christmas period.
The roundabout works will be the first part of a major upgrade of Pulteney Street.
