After suffering a major funding setback earlier this year, Kempsey’s Slim Dusty Centre is one step closer.
In June, an application for more than $2-million in federal government funding was turned down.
But the focus now is to raise $300,000 for outside roadworks including the construction of an access road.
The Slim Dusty Foundation was awarded $100,000 in State Government funding this week, alongside $100,000 in council funds for the works.
