It was a battle of words at Nimbin’s 10th annual Poetry World Cup this weekend.
46 talented writers from across Australia entertained audiences with work ranging from the deep and serious, to the comedic.
“oh that’s not a womb ma’am, that’s a customer service centre”
Contestants had eight minutes to impress the audience and a panel of judges, who marked with strict criteria.
“Their timing, the actually body of their work and their performance in respect to their communication with their audience”
The grand-final kicks off at Nimbin’s Town Hall at 7.30 tonight.
