Coolangatta surfer, Joel Parkinson is preparing for a “once in a lifetime” paddle across a treacherous strait of water in Hawaii, known as the Channel of Bones.
“Parko” jets out tomorrow to contest the annual Oahu 2 Molokai paddleboard race – teaming up with ironman and mate Wes Berg in the two man stock category.
“It’s just something I’ve never done before i’s really uncharted so I’m a little bit well I feel like I’m diving into something I don’t understand and I don’t really know but it’s a challenge and I’m excited for it.”
