Mid north coast rugby union officials say its unlikely Old Bar will face sanctions, after forfeiting its past two matches.
Competition rules state two forfeits during a season would see a team eliminated for the remainder of the season.
The Clams’ home games have been washed out in recent weeks and the side elected not to travel to Hawks Nest or Forster to play the matches.
Mid north coast rugby president, Bob Wilson, says the competition aims to promote the sport and admits some rules need to be updated.
