STUDENTS GET A LESSSON IN CPR

Almost a thousand of the region’s primary school students are putting aside their A-B-Cs to instead learn about CPR.

Tamworth’s Scully Park pool supervisor Cameron McFarlane is visiting schools to teach children the life-saving tool before the swimming season kicks off.

“CPR is a very important skill. Basically, yeah it’s getting it out from the pools to all the primary schools. It’s something they can take away and use anywhere in life.”

Keen youngsters at St Edwards Primary School today put their new-found skills to the test.

The program will visit 12 different schools over the next three weeks.
