An 89-year-old Tuncurry man has died and three others taken to hospital, following a head-on crash on the New South Wales mid north coast.
At around 1.30 this afternoon, a car carrying five people collided with another vehicle on Burraneer Road at Coomba Park.
“At this stage the accident has occurred on a gravel section of road. It
appears a car may have been on the incorrect side of the road but it’s still very
early days to determine what has caused the accident.”
Two elderly women were airlifted to Newcastle’s John Hunter Hospital suffering fractures and chest injuries.
Another man was also taken to the John Hunter by ambulance.
