SINGLETON COUNCIL LAUNCHES TRAFFIC FACEBOOK PAGE

Fears the completion of the Hunter expressway will lead to traffic gridlock in Singleton has prompted council to launch a Facebook page to help push for a bypass.

The page urges locals to upload photos and videos of current traffic conditions in the town.

The aim is to show the state government the frustration that current mining traffic in the area is causing.

There are concerns that the $1.7-billion project will only shift a bottleneck from Branxton to Singleton.
