MAN WHO ALLEGEDLY MADE DEATH THREATS ON NATIONAL RADIO NOW IN THE MENTAL HEALTH UNIT

A 48-year old Chilcotts Grass man is being assessed at Lismore’s Mental Health Unit after allegedly making death threats towards the Trevan Ford Car Dealership and the NRMA on national radio yesterday morning.

It’s alleged he called a Sydney radio station, and threatened to use a gun and petrol bomb to committ mass murder.

“It can be quite traumatic for people to be threatened whether it be over the phone or computer, so it’s a timely reminder that there are serious penalties”

He was later arrested at a Chilcotts Grass address and was due to appear at Lismore Local Court today charged with using a carriage service to cause serious harm.

A second man arrested at the property yesterday, will front court over a hydroponic cannabis plantation allegedly found there.
