FAMILY AND FRIENDS REMAIN HOPEFUL TEENS WILL BE FOUND


Tuesday 19 June 2012 5pm While hope continues to fade of finding two young men, missing after they went rock fishing south of Newcastle, their loved ones aren’t giving up.

Dozens of family and friends joined the search today – combing bushland, rocks and beaches.

Tuesday 19 June 10am As the seach resumes this morning for the two young men missing off the Central Coast hopes are fading that they will be found alive.

Trey Adamson, Niranda Blair and Ben Winn disappeared while fishing from rocks near Moonee Beach at the weekend.

Ms Blair’s body was found on Ghosties Beach on Sunday.

The search has been scaled back this morning after helicopter, lifeguards, police divers and SES volunteers found no trace of the men.

Monday 18 June The search for two young men, missing at sea south of Newcastle, has been suspended until tomorrow morning.

Trey Adamson and Ben Winn disappeared two days ago, and Trey’s girlfriend Niranda Blair died… it’s believed they were swept off rocks at Moonee Beach.

Monday 18 June Police say there is still hope two teenagers will be found alive after a tragic fishing adventure south of Newcastle.

18-year-old Niranda Blair was washed off a rock platform at Flat Rock, her body found hours later at Ghosties Beach.

This afternoon police have widened the search for her boyfriend, 18-year-old Gateshead man Trey Adamson and his mate 20-year-old Ben Winn.

Police say up 80 people are involved in the search, that’s involving Polair, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service, police divers, and the Marine Rescue Service. They’re being joined on land by the SES and the National Parks and Wildlife Service.

The families of the teens are being kept up to date at Catherine Hill Bay.
