TEENS CHARGED WITH TAXI ROBBERY
A 16-year-old boy and a 16 year-old girl have been charged with a number of offences, following the robbery of a taxi driver in Taree in February.
It’s alleged the teenagers punched and stabbed the 55-year-old driver in Arkwright Crescent, before stealing his wallet and vehicle.
Police say the pair then drove the taxi to Lawson Crescent, where they set the car alight.
The teenage boy has been refused bail and will face Taree Local Court on Monday.
The girl will appear in court on July 3.
