BIG SEAS CLOSE STOCKTON 4WD BEACH

In an unprecedented move the National Parks and Wildlife Service has called a temporary closure of the Worimi Conservation Lands including Stockton Beach due to storm damage.

Rangers will be continuing to monitor conditions which include major beach erosion, pooling behind the dunes and sharp drop offs and areas of quick sand.

The beach is expected to be off limits to vehicles for the duration of the long weekend.
