GREY NURSE NUMBERS

 

A week after the carcass of a Grey Nurse Shark was found at Terrigal, we’re being reminded of the fragility of the species.

 

Grey Nurse sharks are listed as critically endangered, with females only producing around two pups every two years.

  1. You are misleading your readers, the Grey Nurse Shark is a common shark in most temperate zones around the world. Commonly known as the Sand Tiger Shark, it is only classified as vulnerable which is the least class of endangered species.
