The carcass of a Grey Nurse Shark was found at Terrigal Haven this morning.
A local dive operator spotted the animal under his boat – its head had been removed.
Grey nurse sharks are listed as critical on the endangered species list and fines for harming or possessing one can exceed $200,000.
