Police are investigating two car fires at Thornton near Maitland overnight.
Around 2am residents in Bunbury Street were woken by the sounds of barking dogs and an explosion as a car in a neighbouring property was engulfed in flames.
Another car, thought to have been stolen from the same property, was found torched a few streets away.
