Police are hunting two men who threatened hotel patrons in Cessnock at gunpoint last night.
Just after 6:30, the men, believed to be aged in their 20s, entered the main bar of the Caledonia Hotel on Aberdare Road.
During the course of the robbery a round was discharged from the firearm.
A number of patrons were present and ordered to the ground.
No one was injured, and the men escaped with cash.
The State Crime Command has been called in to assist local police with their investigation.
