GAV’S EASTER WEATHER FORCAST

The Easter long weekend will be off to a flying start, it is very clear right across Eastern Australia at the moment.

There is an intense low from the remnants from Tropical Cyclone Daphne, generating large waves hitting the entire Eastern Seaboard. So keep an eye on the kids at the beaches, there are some dangerous rips at the moment.

Good Friday will be spectacular across the board.
Easter Saturday will be warm and sunny and we should be able to squeeze most of Easter Saturday. But a free frontal trough will start triggering showers and thunderstorms for the Hunter and Central Coast on Saturday afternoon.

Then on Sunday morning this will spread into the Mid North Coast. The good news is the system is going to stall during Sunday so the far North Coast and South East Queensland will remain fine for the entire Easter period.

But that trough stalling is going to create rain, and we will probably see some thunderstorms on Easter Monday.
