A truck driver died in an horrific crash on the Oxley Highway, west of Tamworth this afternoon. Police say the man lost control of his B-Double, which veered off the Tangaratta Bridge and ended up in the creek. The vehicle was carrying a number of cattle – about a dozen have died, while police are still trying to save any surviving animals. A section of the highway remains closed while officers search the wreckage.
