It’s a new experience for carers, who’ve never come across the species before.
Just found this story about the American tortoise, I was the person who found the tortoise it was actually found at C0orabell crossing the road and look like it had been hit by a car. I then took him to the vet in Lennox Head who looked after him for a few days and the passed him on.
It is great that Ballina Sea Bird Rescue are looking after him. I will also contact Macadamia Castle to see if they are going to find a home for him.
