TAREE CUP A TIGHT CONTEST

The Tamworth trained Blinkin’ Easy is being called one of the favourites for tomorrow’s $50,000 Taree Cup, despite drawing the widest barrier.

The Kempsey trained Rodeo Playboy has drawn the top-weight of 57 kilograms, while home-town hopeful Island Dane is tipped to be the best chance of keeping the cup in the region.

It’ll be a tough ask though, there’s plenty of talent travelling from across the state for the 2000 metre feature, as well as experience.

The Allan Denham trained Striving will be guided by champion Robert Thompson, who’s won more races than any other jockey in the country.
