Indigenous and non-Indigenous community leaders, legal experts and members of parliament are gathering in Coffs Harbour today for a public discussion about the Constitution of Australia.

It’s being staged to reflect growing community support, for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to be formally recognised in the Constitution.

The state upper house inquiry into coal seam gas activities will move to Taree next month.

The city has been chosen as one of just six locations across the state to hold a public hearing, giving mid north coast residents a chance to have their say.

The future of Nambucca Valley Men’s Shed has been secured after receiving $10-thousand in new federal grants.

The money will be used to create a lunchroom and upgrade the bathroom.

And the inaugural Mid North Coast T20 high schools competition is underway in Port Macquarie.
